Coziest Winter Loungewear + Bible Verse of the Week

How many pairs of pajamas do you own? Not enough, that’s how many!! (Kidding, kinda) I don’t know about y’all, but I can never have too many PJ’s!! I love putting on my coziest pair of jammies in the evening and  cuddling up with a cup of tea (or wine) and a book (or Netflix)… okay most of the time it’s wine and Netflix haha. Regardless of how you wind down, I think wearing comfortable clothes is key to being completely relaxed. This may sound silly, but when I put on this loungewear, I instantly feel calmer and less stressed. Never underestimate the power of super soft pajamas!!!

Since we’re ten days into the new year, I think it’s a great time for us to check in on the resolutions that we made for ourselves. How’s everyone doing? Most of mine are going great (so far haha), but theres one I think I’m going to struggle with….

One of the hardest resolutions I made this year was to memorize one Bible verse a week. I did absolutely ZERO research before I made this promise to myself! I made this goal because I tend to go through ebbs and flows with The Bible… some weeks I’ll read The Bible every day, but I can also go an entire month (or more) without picking the book up! I tend to grow close to God when I’m struggling in life, but I pull away and live life on my own when I’m happy and content. Life is always changing, so I think we all need some consistency in our lives. We need a rock to guide and ground us through the uncertainty. I found this guide for memorizing a verse a week, and I think it’s going to be a game changer!

I’m planning on writing each week’s verse on an index card and taping it to my bathroom mirror. That way I see it at least twice a day (if not more!) The act of writing something down really makes it stick in my brain, and that’s how I memorized equations in college! #engineer

I was even considering giving myself monthly quizzes… i.e. write down week 1-4’s verses and what they taught you. But I think I’m gonna need to get a group of friends together to make that more fun haha! Has anyone done something similar to that / have you used a program for memorizing verses that you’ve loved?

So week #2’s Bible verse is:

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understandings.” – Proverbs 3:5

Love that! When I’m contemplating a difficult decision, I have a tendency to ask others for their opinion, completely ignore their advice, and just do what I want. (My best friend has made fun of me for this for years haha) This verse tells me I should pray about these decisions, and “lean not on my own understandings.”  We can always learn from others, and although listening to our gut is important, it’s not our only saving grace!

I’m loving how this verse made me think about something random like this. I have a good feeling about this resolution!! Especially now that I found a list that seems pretty manageable haha!

So I’d love to know.. how are your resolutions going? Are you still in the process of making a game plan for a certain goal like I am?!

I’ve linked several similar loungewear options below (all of them just as soft!)

Thanks for reading!
