Happy hump day friends! Today I wanted to touch on something a little heavier than I typically do, because let’s face it: try as we might, we can’t force our life to be perfect. What we envisioned adulthood as isn’t as straightforward as we wish it would be. Somedays, it’s easy to feel like we’re drowning in the unknown and the uncertainty of life.
Living across the country from my family forced me to really lean into the Lord, my church family, and eventually Ryan. (We didn’t become close until I’d been living in CO for a year!) There were times that I was unsure if I was even supposed to be in Colorado! Have y’all ever had vulnerable moments when you miss your family, your friends, and the culture you grew up in? Where you just want to go home to your parents house because you don’t know if you’re living the life your supposed to live?
I have definitely had moments of weakness when I second guessed the decisions that I made! Who’s ever had these questions:
why did I move to a new place?
what if i had majored in XXX?
why did accept this job instead of waiting for that one?
Because it was in the LORD’s will.
You are exactly where you’re supposed to be!
“Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
Even if you’re unsure about the why’s, how’s, and what’s of life, know that it’s in the Lord’s will for you to be right where you are right now. Rejoice always. Pray continually.
Okay, moving onto a lighter topic now haha. Let’s take a moment to talk about this perfect spring outfit!! As much as I love bright, bold colors, it’s always nice to have a softer, more delicate option in the closet.
IMO this relaxed tunic is the perfect transition piece for spring, and it’s on sale right now! I love how pretty and feminine it is, and it looks cute with a front tuck or left hanging loose. It could definitely be worn from the office to happy hour!
Outfit details: top | jeans | shoes | earrings | bracelets: here, here, and here | similar bag*
*exact bag is a hand-me-down from my momma. thanks mom!
The jeans I’m wearing come in various lengths (short, regular, and long), and I obviously ordered the long haha. They’re so comfy, and they’re under $40 right now!!! Score!
Hope y’all are having an awesome Wednesday, and remember: you are exactly where you’re supposed to be!
Thanks for reading!
Such a great inspiring post. Adulting can be so hard! Somehow I find joy in the unknown and am right now stuck in the known and want out!
Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge him and he shall direct your paths.
It’s comforting to know that God already has a pan for you and that all you have to do is trust in him.
