How to Wear Camo (When You're NOT Trying to Go Hunting)

Anyone else out there *obsessed* with camo?! I think it must be my Tennessee roots that make me an absolute sucker for anything camouflage! Whether it be a cute pair of joggers, a cap, or this adorable button up, I’m just loving the camo trend. Some people view leopard print as a neutral. Some people view camo as a neutral. Both are correct haha.

Since this print seems to be a trend year after year after year, I wanted to give one example of how to wear camo. I don’t know about y’all, but I’m a t-shirt and jeans kinda gal. Buying simple go-to pieces that you can wear over and over again is key when shopping, because you get the most bang for your buck! When I first saw this button up, I knew it would become a closet staple of mine! Annnd I’ve definitely been wearing it on repeat haha.

How to wear the camo button up

Dont:

Wear it with more camo. One piece of camo in your outfit is enough! This ain’t a hunting trip!
Mix it with other prints like leopard or cheetah print. Let the camo speak for itself!

Do:

Tie a knot at the bottom to give yourself a waist! As much as I love button ups, I don’t love it when my waist gets lost in all the material.
Un-tie it at the bottom, but give it a front tuck. Refer to #1.
Pair it with your favorite cut-offs! Both white or blue denim would look adorable… I mean how cute would that outfit be in the summertime by a fire?!
Wear some fun jewelry to add a girly touch to your outfit. Statement earrings are always a yes IMO!
