Our Kitchen Mood Board + The Backsplash I’m Obsessed With

Forgive me as I diverge from my fashion posts for a bit. We are nose deep in this kitchen renovation (if you couldn’t tell from Monday’s post haha) sooo we’re keeping our heads down and staying focused on getting this thing done!

If you haven’t seen the before pictures of our kitchen yet, check out this post. That kitchen had not been touched since the 70’s so it really felt good to gut it and get some new cabinets in!

Moving onto the trend that makes my heart SO HAPPY.

The accent tile backsplash above the range.

Literally didn’t know this was a thing until I began my research on finding the perfect backsplash. Y’all, I fell in love with the idea. I’m 90% sold on the accent tile, but 10% of me still wants to keep it simple and clean (i.e. no accent tile, just a consistent & simple tile throughout the kitchen.)

HOW BEAUTIFUL IS THAT.

As I mull over the nitty gritty details of countertops, backsplashes, and hardware, I wanted to share our mood board with y’all. Our house seems to have a beach theme and we’re sticking to it! Light & airy with hints of blues and grays makes us feel happy & at home.
