As summer continues to fly by, we’re taking advantage of the beautiful (hot) weather by… working on house projects! I am really excited to share our DIY house number sign with y’all. I really wanted a sign with a planter, and I love how it turned out!
I don’t know about y’all, but my green thumb game isn’t so good haha. Instead of actually trying to grow something, I swung by Hobby Lobby to and picked up some faux greenery. MUCH easier to maintain and probably way prettier than anything I would try to grow!
What you’ll need:
- 1″ x 8″ x 8′ whitewood Board
- Early American Wood Stain
- 5″ Black House Numbers
- Floral Dry Foam Block
- Faux Greenery
- Faux Flowers
Dimensions:
- Our total sign length is ~33″ long.
- Each letter is 5″ tall
- We spaced the letters 1″ apart
- We allotted for 4″ between the bottom number and the actual planter box.
- The wood planter box is 5″ tall.
As you can tell in the picture below, we’re still in the process of painting!! That dark brown eve will be painted light grey to match the siding. 🙂
I am always AMAZED by how much little touches like this DIY house number sign can really dress up a home. Our front stoop feels so much more welcoming now! AND the contrast of the black numbers on the whitewood makes it really easy to read the numbers from the street.
Have you done any DIY projects this summer? I can’t stop doing them lol!
Thanks for reading!
This sign is sooo cute!!
