Hey hey! Am I the only one who didn’t know how busy moms were until they became one?! This sounds silly but even just getting ONE blog post up a week is challenging with a 9 month old! But it is such a fun age!! 🙂
That being said, today I am so excited (like really excited!) to share all the before & afters of our first kitchen remodel! We bought this house with it’s original kitchen. Think back to the 70’s style in it’s hay day.. we’re talking dark wood cabinets with pulls in the *center* (why?) bright orange countertops, and carpet on the floor (again, why?!). We saw so much potential in this kitchen and knew it could be amazing with a little TLC.
Okay, maybe it was more than just a little TLC. It was a complete gut haha! We also tore down a few walls in the process to give the home a more open floor plan. You can read all about the process of renovating our kitchen HERE.
As for this post, enjoy the lovely farmhouse kitchen before and afters! And to see even more before and afters of our first fixer, click here!
As you can tell, we opened up the kitchen and made it feel bigger by removing two walls that separated it from the dining & living areas. The house flows much better now!
The quartz countertops we chose were Pietra by Silestone. We are SO OBSESSED with these counters, and we’re seriously considering using them in our next kitchen!
That’s all for today! I can’t wait to share our living room transformation with y’all next week!
