Our Ceremony at Evergreen Lake House

Happy Wedding Wednesday y’all!!

Time to share some pics from our ceremony at the Evergreen Lake House! This gorgeous mountain / lake backdrop is one of the reasons we fell in love with the lake house. Both Ryan and I love water AND the mountains, so it was a dream come true to get married on a mountain lake.

Don’t forget to check out our getting ready pics (ft. our lake themed getting ready outfits) and our first look if you haven’t seen those yet!

At the end of the post I’m sharing where we got the term “Partying Pacini’s” from ๐Ÿ˜‰

Our venue could only seat 100 guests, so we asked people to crowd around on the upper deck. We had 180 guests!

It was such a great feeling to finally be able to walk down the aisle!! I was surprisingly calm since Ryan and I saw each other before the ceremony. Also my dad has always had a calming presence that makes me feel relaxed haha.

I just remember waiting in the lake house and thinking, “can I walk down the aisle yet?!”

Ryan’s brother (the best man) was carrying the rings, and he pulled out a ring pop the first time he was asked for them! Too funny! Thankfully he had the real rings in his pocket too.

Y’all signing the marriage license is one of the best feelings! We’re finally *official*

SO, if your wondering where “Partying Pacini’s” came from, it’s not just alliteration! Our pastor has a unique tradition: for each wedding she does, she chooses a word that: 1) describes the couple’s relationship and 2) is an acronym that contains words to guide the couple’s marriage. Then she bases her talk around that word. Pretty cool right?!

Ours was SOUP, which neither of us expected! BUT there’s a back story. At every marriage counseling session we had, Ryan would always say, “love is like soup. you gotta put energy in it to make it hot.” Evidently she picked up on that saying of Ryan’s, and we were thrilled that she included it in our ceremony!

Here’s what our word represented:

S: Say so – Tell one another what we love about each other.

O: Offer yourself – put the other’s needs before your own and love one another as Christ loves us.

U: U-turn – when you feel yourself headed in the wrong directions (during a fight or in life), make a U-turn and get back on the right path

P: Partying Pacini’s!!! – both Ryan and I love to have fun and entertain others, so always make a habit of reaching out to others and inviting them into our home. She encouraged us to never lose that spirit. We love that and want to live up to own that the rest of our lives!

Thanks soooo much for following along! I love writing these posts because it gives me an excuse to look at our wedding pictures again. ๐Ÿ™‚

Next Wedding Wednesday will be all about our reception aka the best part of a wedding! YAY!
