Budget Friendly Bathroom Remodel!

Wanna know how to renovate an entire bathroom for about $500? I’m here to help! I’m slowly but surely renovating our newest fixer upper and I’m taking you along for the ride on my Instagram stories. Want to learn how to do everything I’m doing? Follow along here!

Alright, let’s begin with the before. Everyone loves a good before! As a reminder, our house was built in the early 90’s and hadn’t been updated much at all. You can see that the vanity was still in good condition, and although the tub was eggshell, it was in fine condition too. To stay on budget and on schedule, I left the original eggshell tub and vanity. The vanity just got a little makeover.

Now I’m just a stay at home mom, so my budget was ahem not large at all. Pretty small, actually. So let’s see what the total project cost adds up to, shall we?

Not too shabby for $500 and a stay at home mom, right?

I’m honestly SO happy I decided to replace the floors. The wood just really warms the whole room up. This was exactly the look I was going for, and I can’t wait to keep making this house a home!! πŸ™‚

Side note: how BEAUTIFUL is retreat by Sherwin Williams on this vanity? I saw some stunning photos of retreat on kitchen cabinets, and once I got the swatch, I just *knew* it was the right color. It actually plays well with the off white vanity countertop which was exaaactly what I was hoping it would do. πŸ™‚

Side note: this was the first room I ever completed all on my own (other than Ryan carrying the toilet.. it was heavy!!!) I’ve always had Ryan’s help, which I’m so thankful for, but now that I’m a mom, I really crave my alone “creative” time. I really feel like myself when I’m planning, designing, and working with my hands.

Thanks for following along with our home journey!
