Happy Thanksgiving y’all!!
It is hard to believe that the holidays are already here. Every year, I say “THIS year has gone by the fastest…” ha! I guess time flies when you’re having fun!
Ryan and I are driving up to mountains today to eat all the turkey and enjoy NOT working on the house for a bit. 😉
I wanted to quickly share 5 things I’m thankful for this year!
- My husband! I know that’s cliche and mushy, but he was only my fiancé last year, so it’s kinda a big deal 😉
- My body. Running has always been a big part of my life, but this year it helped me stay regimented and it also kept me sane during the crazing wedding planning season haha. I am thankful I have limbs that can carry me to beautiful lakes and mountains.
- My family. Y’all, we had two new additions to the family this year! (My niece and nephew) I never knew being an aunt would be so much fun!
- Fixer Upper. Seriously, that show gives me the motivation I need when I’m feeling “meh” about our little fixer upper.
- My jobs (both engineering & Evereve). Being content with your work can be a struggle. I am speaking from experience here haha. There is an Albert Einstein quote that pops up in my head a lot: “Most people are about as happy as they make their minds up to be.” I find that to be true, and I realize that if I simply flip the switch in my brain to focus on the positive parts of my day, my whole attitude is a million times better.
I am also thankful for everyone that reads these posts and follows along on Instagram. One year ago yesterday I created my blog URL, and I had no clue where it would take me. It’s my goal to continue to share fun outfits and my life in Colorado with y’all!
