Best Purchases of 2018

This is my FIRST YEAR to do a “best purchases” post and I can’t wait to share my top picks with y’all. Below I’m simply rounding up the things that I found myself wearing over and over again! I’m including my favorite denim, boots, cardigan, dresses.. ALL THE GOODS! haha. Enjoy!

madewell sweater dress (similar) // sam edelman otk boots

This is one of my favorite combos because it’s comfy and easy to throw on. If I could have every single one of Madewell’s sweater dresses, I think I would ha. I’m a sucker for mixing black and tan, and I love this outfit for the springtime because it can still be pretty cold in Boulder! This dress also looks cute with a pair of booties or riding boots.

chelsea28 blouse // KUT cords (50% off right now) // sam Edelman booties

Sooo if you are a working woman, you definitely need this blouse in your life! It is really flattering and looks professional & cute at the same time. The corduroys come in TEN different colors (I have them in forrest green, too!) and are just a good alternative to denim. These Sam Edelman booties have SO MANY good review and are around $100.

asymmetrical fleece // dark wash jeans

I get a lot of questions on IG about what denim is good for taller girls AND what brands are more affordable. These jeans are pretty comfortable and come in short, regular, and tall sizes. This pair is buy one get one half off right now.

lace midi dress ($89) // marc fisher wedges

I got this dress for our rehearsal dinner and I looooved it! It comes in several other colors too, so it’s perfect for a wedding, Easter, or church.

7 for all mankind black jeans

So this is the ONLY pair of black jeans you need in your closet! The comfort level is comparable to leggings, so I wear them at least once once a week. I was really impressed to see how the crisp black color stayed after washing multiple times.

sanctuary sweater // hudson skirt // otk boots

One of the reasons I love this skirt so much is because it’s longer — it doesn’t look like I’m in middle school haha. It’s also high waisted so it looks cute with a front tuck!

z supply thermal // 7 for all mankind vintage jeans

I got these jeans last fall and quickly fell in love because they basically feel like sweatpants! I had been looking for a pair of more relaxed denim (between boyfriend fit & skinny) and was sold once I put them on. The price point is high, I’ll admit that.. but I’ve found that I wear these at least three times a week. The comfort level and fit makes it worth it IMO!

z supply joggers

If you’re a girl who loves being comfy, then you will LOVE these cams joggers! I personally love wearing these around the house on a Sunday or after work, but they could be worn to brunch as well.

madewell cardigan

This is one of the softest cardigans I’ve found! I’ve had this one for about a year, and the quality has been great. I definitely have worn this year round — it’s a great piece to throw on over a jeans or a dress.

spanx faux leather leggings // frye riding boots (50% off)

I seriously get a compliment on these leggings every. single. time. I wear them haha. I’m a firm believer that every girl needs a pair of these! They are surprisingly comfortable, and the leather sheen gives them a more classy feel than typical leggings.

So that’s a wrap on my top picks from 2018! I still can’t believe 2018 is over.. One year ago I began blogging, and it’s been fun to challenge myself to style my favorite pieces multiple ways.

Last year at this time I had about 800 followers on Instagram, and I knew little to nothing about the blogging world. Now my little IG community has grown to around 12k, and I try to learn one new thing about this industry every day. My goal is to keep working hard to provide you with outfit ideas, recipes, travel ideas, and general lifestyle tips.

It has taken a lot of time and hard work, and I just want to THANK YOU for following along and supporting me. Whether you use my links to shop or leave a comment and say hi, it helps me stay determined and motivated.

’til next time!

xoxo liz
